Deodorant

I once had a dream to make a deodorant that smelt exactly like chocolate (or, to be more precise, melted chocolate). Last week, I spotted a can of Lynx Chocolate deodorant. My heart sank. I thought my dreams had been shattered into shards of a broken dream. That was until I smelt it. It smells NOTHING like chocolate!!! I was so happy! And at the same time, so infuriated! Why would they call it Lynx Chocolate, and have an entire ad making you think it’ll smell like chocolate, when it doesn’t? Doesn’t bother me though (obviously it does) because I’m going to melt chocolate into a can and sell it. Also, I like the smell of clean washed clothes, but that smell doesn’t last long, and rather than just wash them again, I’m going to sell the scent of washing powder in a can.

While we’re on the topic of cans, I bought a red bull energy drink Thursday night. It cost me $6! I was outraged.

  1. I don’t like Red Bull.

    But I do like you.

  2. Why would you want deodorant that smells like chocolate? I agree that chocolate smells better than sweat but so, too, does pumpkin soup. Why not make a deodorant that smells like pumpkin soup, Roboin? Or fresh bread? Or … I don’t know … something else stupid!

  3. These are all great ideas! Thanks JP! Obviously I’d make those other scents too. But just one at a time. You have to milk each one for what they’re worth. You know how it is. It’s like you and your blogs. You don’t just write them all in one hit. You write about one a year, leaving the reader wanting more, or just giving up and never reading your stupid blogs again.

  4. Ahh, I never worry. I know you’ll keep coming back for more.

On the topic of blogging frequency, though, I should be a lot more reliable now that I’ve rebuilt my main computer. I can actually render cool things without having to endure a 5-hour wait for each frame.

  5. I like the chocolate smelling one! It doesn’t smell like chocolate though. I completley agree with you on that front. It smells more like vanilla.
And you know all those stuipid air freshener sprays for the bathroom? They smell like clean clothes! Well some do..some just smell like toilet, and i don’t think you want to smell like that…

  6. I don’t know if you have Bounce fabric sheets in Aus, but I recently used Bounce Awakenings. Apparently they have microbeads that release fresh scent throughout the day, so you’ll always have that ‘clean clothes’ smell. I was a cynic at first and didn’t think it’d actually work, but it does!
